CASC’s 17th Annual Conference is expected to welcome over 150 delegates from across our country. This three-day conference, hosted by the Discovery Centre, features pre and post-conference activities, engaging learning sessions, keynote speakers, and networking events that include a welcome reception, a trade-show and our CASCADE Awards Gala.

Please note: This should be used as a personal agenda. You do NOT need to register for any concurrent sessions. Seating is on a first come, first served basis so you may want to pick 2-3 choices in each time frame in case one of your choices is full. If there is a session you really want to attend, get there early to ensure you have a seat!

Le 17e congrès annuel de l’ACCS prévoit accueillir 150 délégués en provenance des quatre coins du pays. Organisé par Discovery Centre, ce congrès de trois jours comprend des activités pré et post-congrès, des sessions de formation stimulantes, des conférenciers d’honneur et des événements de réseautage qui incluent une réception d’accueil, un salon professionnel et notre Gala des Prix CASCADE.

Les places sont réservées selon le principe du premier arrivé, premier assis, alors vous pouvez faire deux ou trois choix dans chaque période au cas où l’un de vos choix serait complet. S’il y a une session à laquelle vous voulez vraiment assister, venez tôt pour vous assurer d’avoir une place!

Curious about navigating beyond a science centre’s walls? Interested in exploring current outreach models? Wanting to expand an outreach program? Join us as we explore four different outreach programs from science centres across Canada. Each presenter will showcase their unique outreach programs, success stories, biggest takeaways, and changes in outreach. We will discuss the different ways centres are bringing science to local, distant, and remote schools. The session will also examine outcomes from the pre-conference session on the different methods, practices and approaches in outreach.

Vous êtes curieux de naviguer au-delà des murs d’un centre de sciences ? Cela vous intéresserait d’explorer des modèles actuels de programmes d’animation extérieurs ? Vous souhaitez développer davantage un programme d’animation extérieur ? Venez assister à cette session au cours de laquelle nous explorerons quatre programmes d’animation extérieurs différents provenant de centres de sciences d’un peu partout au Canada. Les intervenants présenteront les programmes d’animation extérieurs uniques de leur centre, ils parleront de leurs succès, des principales conclusions à en tirer, et des changements dans le domaine. Nous discuterons des différentes manières dont les centres amènent la science dans des écoles locales, lointaines et situées dans des zones reculées. La session sera aussi l’occasion d’examiner les résultats de la session pré-congrès sur les différentes méthodes, pratiques et approches dans ce domaine.
